the platonic theory of forms states that immaterial abstractions not informed by sensory data of the perceivable universe are the highest, most fundamental representations of reality. I thought it was funny to attempt an imperfect, physical representation of something that exists in the strictly nonphysical, conceptual realm. these are from a series of 'stellated' geometric forms -- taking a polytope and extending it in another dimension to create additional form.
